Jean-Pierre Rousseau, President of DIVA Bordeaux, has been elected Grand Chancellor of the Bordeaux Wine Academy for a 3-year term. This is a first for the Academy, which since its creation has always been presided over by an estate owner. Jean-Pierre Rousseau praised the work of Nicolas de Bailliencourt dit Courcol who, for 12 years, has preserved the spirit, history and culture of Bordeaux Wine by organizing prestigious events.
The Bordeaux Wine Academy was created in 1948, its aim is to promote the Art de Vivre around the great Bordeaux wines and to encourage throughout the world, any cultural expression related to Bordeaux Wine. Since 2003, it has yearly awarded the Prix Littéraire Montaigne, in collaboration with the City of Bordeaux, co-organizer.
